The way the pleats catch the light changes the whole mood of my living room—soft, warm, and somehow airy. It’s heavier at the base than I expected, which makes it feel sturdy, but the shade still looks like it’s about to drift off. Every night I turn it on and just sit there for a minute.

The pleated shade really does float like a little balloon when it’s switched on, and the light it throws is so soft it makes my whole room feel calmer. I keep catching myself just staring at it instead of reading.
